What do you guys pay for motorbike taxi around town?
This is a good question but a hard one to answer, Most these days won’t get off their ass for less than 30 baht…. expect to pay about 30-60 baht depending on distance. I always bargain the price down with them unless we know each other.
Look out for empty beer bottles where they are sitting… if they are there pick another!
I have had to pay 30-50baht. Never over 50.
50 was from second road, close to walking street to Soi yume which is close to Carrefur.
Normally 40baht from lets say from soi7 to walking street kind of distance.
good idea and always confirm the price before hopping on.
It is good to learn basic numbers
sam sip = 30
see sip = 40
ha sip = 50
hock sip = 60
Anything else simply say “mai” (no) , then offer up your amount again… anything less than agreement on his or her part, walk to the next motorbike taxi and repeat the deal.
